My Dad commissioned Bela Petheo to paint 2 landscapes. Today he sent me digitals of the sketches. One is of the house we moved to when I was in high school, and
the other shows a view of backyard and the Mississippi River in the evening. The house is a lot more than a house to us. It's the home he and my Mother bought,
renovated a couple times, and made their own in pretty much every conceivable way. My Sister was married in the front yard.
Patheo also painted a portrait of my Grandfather that hangs at the company he founded, now owned and run by my Uncle Tom.
I can't wait to see the finished paintings. If/when my Dad decides to move, these will help us remember the house that was our home and in turn, all the changes our lives underwent during many years on the Big Muddy.
