Holy Smokes! Ween is coming back to Minneapolis on August 1st to play the State Theater, or so the rumor goes. I sincerely hope it's true, but why aren't they playing First Ave?
Last time they were here Deaner [or Gene, I can't remember] wrote a post online about how much they loved First Ave, and would never play anywhere else in Minneapolis. Wtf?
Anywho, the last time I saw them I caught both shows, and both were ridiculously fun. There is simply nothing like Ween live. Friends had, for years, been telling me this but I never truly understood until I saw it for myself.
This show is NOT TO BE MISSED.
