Whilst out kicking around Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Los Angeles, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills with friends both old and new[ish], I was introduced to Hot Yoga.
Nadia, along with running and lifting, has been practicing for some time now and after I don't know how long, is instructing as well. I've been wanting to give Yoga a try for a long time, but just never got around to it. My Mom practiced when she could and I know she found a lot good stuff there, that she really enjoyed it...my Sister has been practicing on and off for years, not sure how much she goes anymore but I know I'd love her to try a class with me [cough].
So after a couple days of really wonderful runs on the beach, I agreed to attend a private class Nadia was teaching to a couple friends on Easter Sunday. I was reborn like you know, Jesus and stuff, it was amazing. 90 minutes in a 114 degree room throws your body into quite a state, aka completely freaked out. I tipped over in Camel Pose from the dizziness, but made it through the class. For giggles, we weighed me before and after. In the hour and a half I lost about 4 pounds of water weight. I would never have thought that possible...but that's not the point.
