If you haven't tried Skype, and you use a telephone, you should. More to the point, if you ever call long distance to family or friends, you can both Skype and it's always free. International calling is the killer app. The quality is amazingly good, very low latency, and the headsets are not nearly as nerdy or expensive as they used to be.
